More Than a Donut Shop

District is New Orleans' all-day dining destination — a specialty coffee roastery, a scratch bakery, a breakfast and brunch kitchen, and an acclaimed burger and sandwich program, all under one roof.

We started with donuts. We stayed for everything else.

District was born in New Orleans with a simple belief: that a great donut could be something worth obsessing over. Small batches, made fresh throughout the day, in flavors that rotated daily. District was a different idea for a city that already had its own deep pastry traditions.

It worked. Guests kept coming back, not just for the donuts but for everything surrounding them! The scratch-made biscuit sandwiches, the buttermilk pancakes, the breakfast tacos, the burgers built on a proprietary blend of Creekstone Farms beef served on housemade brioche buns. The coffee roasted by our own in house roastery. Over time, a donut shop became something harder to categorize and easier to love.

Today District has five locations across New Orleans — Magazine Street, Harrison/Lakeview, Elmwood, Arabella, and Downtown — plus a location at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. Every location runs the same commitment: a full culinary program, made from scratch, all day long.


Nobody else does this.

There are coffee shops. There are bakeries. There are breakfast joints. There are burger spots. District is all of them operating at a high level simultaneously, from the moment we open to the moment we close.

We call it a stacked day part restaurant. The idea is that every hour of the day deserves the same quality and intention — not just the morning rush. Your 8am latte and fresh donut gets the same care as the Creekstone beef burger you order at 1pm. That's a hard standard to maintain, and it's the one we hold ourselves to.

Our hot chicken and honey butter French toast biscuit has become one of the most talked about items in New Orleans. Hand battered, fried crispy, brushed with hot butter and finished with honey butter on a housemade French toast biscuit.

A proprietary blend of Creekstone Farms beef (one of the most respected beef programs in the country) pattied in-house and served on housemade brioche buns baked fresh daily.

Coffee

Roasted in house by Cool Kids Coffee Roasters, our own roastery. Every cup is sourced and roasted specifically for District — not purchased from a supplier.

Why "all day" is harder than it sounds.

Most restaurants pick one thing and do it well. A coffee shop in the morning. A lunch spot at noon. A breakfast joint on weekends. District runs all of it simultaneously — a specialty coffee program, a scratch bakery, a full breakfast and brunch kitchen, and an acclaimed burger and chicken sandwich operation — at full quality, all day, every day. That's not a positioning statement. It's a kitchen standard that very few restaurants in this city, or any city, maintain. We think you can taste the difference.


We roast our own.

Most restaurants buy their coffee from someone else. We built our own roastery. Cool Kids Coffee Roasters sources, roasts, and supplies every cup of coffee served at District — which means the coffee you drink here is different from anything you'll find at another shop in the city.

Cool Kids beans are also available to take home. We sell bags online and at every District location, and we share $1 from every bag sold with New Orleans nonprofits.
